Chef Rafiq Din came to the United States from Lahore, Pakistan, in 2001 and started his career in New York. His work in the restaurant business brought him to the Bombay
Club Restaurant in Boston, Massachusetts, where he worked for eight years before coming to Philadelphia. he worked as chef at Saffron Indian Kitchen in Bala Cynwyd,
where he met Glinus D'Silva, and together they opened Kabob & Grill Indian Cuisine. Glinus, originally from India, manages the business end of the restaurant.
